Help my cactus! Chemists around here?

stop!.... your cute little cactus can survive nicely without all that 'food'!!!... they don't get that stuff in the desert, now, do they?..... too much water, too much fertilizer will kill it rather than help it..... ease up and just let it grow in the sunlight!!
